Dear Hiring manager,
I am writing this letter to express interest in applying to be a administrative assistant with your company. I learned about this opportunity while browsing your website. I have extensive experience as an administrative assistant and I possess a bachelor’s degree in psychology. With these skills and knowledge I can aid your ongoing mission to provide the necessary resources to help children receive the care that they need.
Apart from my education, I had an internship at at Hamilton Madison House: Asian American Addiction Recovery. This clinic specializes in patients who suffer from addiction and mental illnesses within the Asian community. At Hamilton Madison, I was responsible for helping the counselors find information that would help clients towards their recovery and independence. I was responsible for multiple projects assigned by each counselor to aid in their patient’s recovery. At times I will call different organizations on the behalf of my patients to get services they will need for their recovery. Additionally, I am also responsible on providing informational counseling with teenagers, I have discussed with them options for the future and discuss with them choices that they want to make. I have I also helped boost the counselor’s efficiency by helping them with their monthly statistics. I also have experience with maintaining the clinic’s monthly patient’s intake chart. I am also responsible for writing notes in regards to resources that I found for clients. At Interline, another substance abuse clinic, I was involved with the treatment plan of each patient. I was responsible for not only being their counselor but I had to report to staff any new changes that they experience.
I am confident that my education and skills will be an excellent match to be your personal assistant. As per your request, my salary is negotiable. I welcome the opportunity to further discuss my qualifications with you in an interview. Please feel free to contact me by any of the above means provided.
Sincerely,
Karen Leung
