aily duties would consist of 12 hour shifts. In this shift I would measure and
cut aluminum to proper length, than I would bend the rim in pressing
machine to make it round. After that the rim would have to be welded in
machine welder. I had to then trim and sand down the excess weld, and put
into another pressing machine to make resemble a rim frame. I then put the rim into a
spinning machine to create the groves. The rim then hat to be passed down for
smoothing, and then packaged for sale. Jobs were alternated due to the lack of people
working here, so most of the time we did two or more jobs at a time. I would also have
to drive forklift trucks to dump scrap, or pick up supplies. The company went thru a
period of downsizing even more, I was laid off.

ome days would began at 6’am. When I worked maintance I would do the
janitorial duties of the hotel. Washing windows vacuuming. I would help
guest with difficulties in their room. I would walk the highways while
checking the premises. Walk outside surveying the parking lot. When I
worked the front desk I would check guest into their room. Make sure it is correctly
documented in the log. Answer phone calls. Handle reservations over the phone. Greet
the guest with a huge smile, and thank them for their stay. Developed great people
skills while working at this job. When the company switched owners for the third time I
thought I would try to finish up my degree.
