My responsibilities included the orientation of newly hired employees to the company and performing
compliance training on HIPAA, CMS (Medicare and Medicaid), policies of URAC & NCQA, Ethical
Behavior in the work place, Sexual Harassment and Work place Violence along with many other areas
related to the company. My area of focus was educating newly hired physicians and nurses on the
process of utilization review. I was responsible for creating training courses for the education of the
radiology procedures requested and to give the staff an understanding of the criteria utilized to
determine the medically necessity of requested exams. CareCore was contracted with a large number of
health plans which included commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare plans to process prior authorizations
for claims.

My responsibilities included obtaining and interpreting clinical information from physician offices and
imaging facilities requesting prior authorization for insurance claims. ICD-9 coding and CPT code
application were required for each request.

My responsibilities included scrub technologist assisting during interventional vascular radiology

the three consecutive years 2007, 2008, and 2009. I received the Clinical Site Educator of the year from
the Technical College of the Low Country in 2009. I was a nominee for the Clinical Staff member of the
Year at Hilton Head Hospital in 2008. I have experience with using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power
Point. I work well under pressure and use creativity in problem solving. I adapt quickly and welcome a
challenge.
