I have received the extra miler award twice for excellent customer service.
On one occasion I had a customer that was broke down at my store with a
busted bell housing. The customer was from out of town on vacation at
Myrtle Beach S.C. I located a used unit and sold them a new clutch set. I
overheard the couple talking with their kids telling them that they could
not take vacation because the repair was going to use up all the money. I
spoke with them and offered to install the parts my self, which I did with
the help of another employee so that the family could take their vacation.
I usually would not go this far with customer service even though I like to
take care of my customers. But I felt like the family needed the vacation
time with their kids. It was hard to look at them and not help them when
you know that you could. I believe that great customer service and
knowledge of your business creates a loyal customer.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
I have received several extra miler awards from Auto Zone for excellent
customer service. I also received top salesman award for the eastern region
with Auto Zone. I have enjoyed the challenge of taking stores with failing
commercial programs and turning them around. But the most important career
highlights to me are the people that I have meet and friends that I have
made from the Carolina's to Colorado. I am a people person and enjoy
building those relationships that make loyal customers and life long
friends.
