Engineering/Maintenance Manager
o Responsibilities as Engineering/Maintenance Manager included a total
budget of over $4M across 4 plants that included Capital and Major
Maintenance projects at each facility.
o Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, utilizing the maintenance
staff at each location.
o Recent projects include the installation of a 200,000 pound Homogenizing
furnace in the Niles facility and an automatic stacking system on one of
the Billet Cut off lines in the Shelbyville facility, installation of a
150,000 ACFM pulse type BACT bag house in our Boonville plant, to
mention a few.
o Responsible for generating annual and monthly reports that included
project status, costs, downtime and comments for each facility.

o Responsibilities as Extrusion Manager included a 2.3 million dollar
budget.
o Controlling the training and implementation of lean manufacturing.
o Controlling the overall performance of the extrusion department to meet
or exceed customer requirements, delivery times and plant costs.
o Responsibilities as Engineering/Maintenance Manager included the design,
purchase and installation of new and rebuilt equipment.
o Responsibility of day-to-day maintenance that included scheduled and
emergency work.
o Sustaining a Preventive and Predictive maintenance program that utilized
trouble shooting techniques, a CMMS MP2 system, Vibration analyses,
Ultrasonic Testing, Infrared Thermographs and Oil analysis.
o Preparing, implementing and controlling annual and long-term budgets that
increased equipment and facility reliability yet controlled and reduced
costs
Superintendent of Maintenance - Newark, OH Plant
o Superintendent of Maintenance with responsibilities that included the
purchase and installation of new and rebuilt equipment.
o Day-to- day maintenance that included scheduled and emergency with an
annual operating budget of $2.3 million.
o Major accomplishments were the installation of two Thorpe age ovens, the
conversion of coal fired boilers for heating to natural gas fired heating
units and the consolidation of the maintenance department to free up
floor space for production use.
Module Engineer - Erie, PA Forging Plant
o Hydraulic Press Module Engineer with responsible for day-to-day
maintenance activities that included scheduled and emergency work on
8,000 ton, 5,000 ton, 3,000 ton and 1,000 ton hydraulic forging and trim
presses.
o Assist with the troubleshooting, repair, rebuild or retrofit of
Mechanical Presses and Impact Presses of various tonnages from 250 ton to
5,000 ton ratings.
o Major accomplishments: the modification of our number one age oven to
allow for the heat treating of 6061 aluminum alloys, the replacement of
side cylinders on all three hydraulic presses, the rebuild of the
Aldredge water hydraulic pumps and the rebuild of the ways on the 8,000
ton press die bed.
General Foreman Extrusion Department - Newark, OH Plant
o Held numerous titles from Maintenance Supervisor to General Foreman of
the Extrusion Department.
o Responsibilities included the scheduling of both production and
maintenance employees, the forecasting and controlling of annual and long
term budgets for both production and maintenance, the creation,
implementation, training and sustaining of a CMMS system for the 6,600
ton Kobe indirect extrusion press.
o During the installation and start up of the 6,600 ton Kobe press was the
Kaiser Aluminum field representative on this 23 million dollar project to
insure that the project was on time, in budget and being done to
specifications (1980 through 1981).

Electrical Apprentice, Electrician, Hot Strip Mill Maintenance
Supervisor, 76" Shear Line Maintenance Supervisor, Project Manager for
the installation of the 74" Slitter Line to Assistant General.
o Foreman of Maintenance Hot Strip Department, until plant closing 1978.
