General Manager. Develop and maintain Casino department budgets,
Internal Controls and Policies & Procedures. Revue purchase and
construction contracts, gaming supply agreements and any other
documents that refer directly to finance especially as they relate
to revenue and expenditures.
My position at Red Earth Casino was temporary as I was hired to
evaluate their financial records. To their satisfaction this job was
completed in threes months and the Accounting Department and Casino
were left in good standing.

ensured team professionalism, ensured customer hospitality was
maintained, targeted profitable markets and promotional strategies.
. Established and provided mentorship training programs for
Middletown Rancheria Tribal members.
. Met with Tribal Council weekly and General Council monthly to
report on the state of the Casino & Hotel.
In 2009 I revised efficiency standards, reducing operating costs by
10% and developed a wage matrix for both hourly and salaried
positions establishing a solid yet flexible wage program covering
all job classifications.
In 2010 I presented to Tribal Council a Plan of Action that reduced
annual operating costs by approximately 8.5%. Also proposed was a
Mentoring Program specifically for Tribal members.
In March of 2010 our Director of Marketing and Director of Hotel
Operations left the employ of the Casino. I was successful in
managing both departments until the positions were filled in July of
2010.
The Casino enjoyed 5% growth in revenue for 2009 and 2010. 2011
ended with a 15% increase in revenue over the previous year.
The Hotel experienced 40% growth in 2010 over 2009. 2011 saw a 35%
increase in revenue.
With the measures taken during my 3 years as General Manager, Casino
EBITDA increased from approximately 10% to 25%.

. Established, implemented and maintained written policies,
procedures, regulations, controls, rates and methods for all aspects
of Casino operations including Slots, Table Games and Food &
Beverage operations.
. Ensured compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, orders,
rules and statutes, including Tribal ordinances and resolutions, the
Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), National Indian Gaming
Commission (NIGC), Tribal-State Compact, and other applicable laws.
. Purchased, stored and maintained all gaming supplies and
equipment, planning and directing marketing, advertising, promotions
and public relations, security of Casino patrons and general public
and space planning requirements and floor plan.
. Developed and implemented Internal Control standards and personnel
policies, hiring, training, supervising and discharging employees,
facilities maintenance and upgrades, preparation of business plans
and operating budgets, maximizing Casino revenue, and maintaining
cooperative working relationships with the Tribal, Federal and State
Gaming regulatory agencies, agents and Casino employees.
. Worked diligently to improve revenue and cut costs.
. Developed, revised and implemented program of change, specifically
targeted to increase efficiencies within the Casino, this program
immediately improved bottom line numbers.
I designed and oversaw the remodel of our Food & Beverage area to
include building a new dining room, expanded kitchen space and two
outbuildings. The expansion contained dry storage and a walk-in
freezer and refrigerator. One of the two out-building was used to
house the Maintenance Department and the other was a much needed
employee break room.
The exterior of the Casino was painted and reroofed. There was a
significant amount of plumbing and electrical work completed, as
required, to bring the building up to code. The monument sign at the
entrance of the parking lot was re-designed with a fresh new look.
The floor was brought into compliance by removing all pre-Compact
(non-compliant) slot machines and negotiated contracts were signed
with several slot manufacturers to replace some of the old machines
with new.
Completed building an RV Park of which I designed, negotiated all
contracts and oversaw the construction.
Prior to leaving I presented a proposal to Tribal Council to reduce
annual operating costs by $400 thousand dollars.
From July 2007 to October 2008, Pit River Casino experienced 5%
growth in revenue.

. Conducted all investigations for the Casino to include
non-compliance issues, Title 31 Bank Secrecy Act, customer
complaints and certain criminal activity.
The responsibility and oversight of six years of construction
projects was mine and included all phases of construction,
negotiating contracts, tracking, verifying and signing off on
billing invoices, change orders and maintaining payment schedules.

Since the mid 80's I have worked in the firearms industry as a
Gunsmith and Engraver specializing in the restoration of antique
firearms and edged weapons along with the customization of modern
firearms. I owned and operated two retail outlets in the late 1980's
and mid 1990's to 2000 offering for sale Firearms, ammunition and
most accoutrements as well as firearms repair, modification,
engraving and restoration.
