Work History: 10/2005 to Present- Position: Journeyman Iron Worker/
Rigger/ Boiler Maker
Duties: Work closely with general foreman, foremen, ironworkers and
apprentices to complete daily tasks. Lead and direct fellow workers
building iron structures and solving day to day problems, by utilizing
other peoples input and basic common sense. Interpret prints, and request
RFI's when needed. Connecting, bolting up, racking out, and rattling up
bolts, working at heights up to 640' while maintaining OSHA safety
regulations in extreme weather conditions from 115 degrees to -77 degrees.
Mainly being 100% tie off over six feet with full body harness, lanyards
and cheaters, using double eye and ear protection when needed, and dressing
for the weather. Have good communication and teamwork with co-workers,
foremen and other crafts. Build and teardown various size cranes, from
juice to friction with luffing jibs and wagon or ringer set ups. Use
proper rigging and rigging techniques when rigging to various items and
supporting all crafts. Bull rig various sizes of iron, pipe, transformers,
or anything that needs to be re-located to a certain coordinate.
Communicate with crane operators and co-workers by staying on the "same
page" and being able to flag cranes with proper hand signals and or radio's
for blind picks, critical lifts and two crane picks. Train apprentices on
how to do their job properly and safely, and be able to talk them through
what needs to get done while they are frozen on the iron... (Getting them
over their fear of heights). Beef up iron, fabricate iron for braces, pipe
supports, special jobs and whatever prints call for using cutting torch,
grinder, metabo, band saw, layout tools and of course common sense.
Organize and inventory lay down yard, unload trucks by use of forklift,
crane and or carry deck. Operate man lifts, jlg's, genie, scissor lifts,
and man basket hooked to the crane. Live in a man camp, get along with
others, work in a remote sites, mines, refineries and power plants around
the US, and wherever the job needs to get done, from new construction, to
demo, shut downs, and turn-arounds. Maintain good work ethic along with a
good attitude, always keeping an open mind, learning new things every day,
knowing that there is more than one way to skin a cat, especially when
having to pick up the slack for other crafts, and always putting safety
first.

Position: Installer Repair Technician
Duties: Work with minimal supervision, install, troubleshoot and repair
cable services including high speed internet, HD television, cable
telephone modem, fiber optics, and CAT 5 lines in residential and
commercial locations. Direct customer contact, and explanation of cable
services and devices. Lead technician who trained installers and
technicians. Use of common sense, math, and good attitude to solve
problems with attenuation, ingress and egress. Maintain company vehicle
and tools in a good working safe manner. Use ladders or gaffs on telephone
poles with proper tie off procedures in cold and hot weather. Cable
companies: Adelphia, Time Warner, Cebridge, and Grande Communications.
Certifications:
NCCER Journeyman Iron Worker, NCCER Advanced Rigging, Forklift operator,
carry deck, man lift, basic plus, H2S and confined space trained, fit
tested for all respiratory face masks and fresh air, basic MSHA.
