years national laboratory experience at NASA Glenn Research Center.

Well rounded, on projects with government agencies, academia, and

private industry. Expertise in the following areas:

Laboratory Management and Administration: Operations manager of

multi-million dollar Computed Tomography lab; experienced in

preparing proposals and budgets, and in marketing lab services to

customers. Experienced in implementing quality programs.

Technical Skills: Computed Axial Tomography world-class expert; 3D

Imaging Software; Non Destructive Evaluation; Material

Characterization; Certified Digital/Film Radiography &

Interpretation; Optical Microscopy/SEM; Machining and Fabrication

background.

Application Areas: Aerospace, Aircraft Engine Components,

Metallurgy, Metallography, Ceramics, Advanced Composite Materials,

and Biomedical Materials.

Published Author: Author or co-author on 28 journal articles and

tech briefs, and winner of the 1999 and 2012 "Outstanding Paper of

The Year" award from the American Society of Nondestructive Testing.

Awards: Exceptional Space Act award 7/25/13. For the development of

a significant scientific and technical contribution entitled

CT-CURS: Novel Software Method for Computed Tomography Cylinder Data

Unwrapping-Reslicing and Analysis.

Professional Experience

University of Toledo, Senior Research Associate/CT Operations

Manager May 2004-Present

Supported Advanced Stirling Radioisotope Generator program.

Developed CT technique and provided test data needed to select space

flight engine components.

Performed Computed Tomography damage assessment of NASA Space

Shuttle Challenger remains. Investigated wing damage unveiling

unseen propagation which led to catastrophic failure. Was

acknowledged nationally for outstanding contributions on Return to

Flight program.

Orchestrated outside biomedical research programs with Cleveland

Clinic and assisted in pinpointing locations of vertebrae implanted

GPS microchips for future child tracking.

Analyzed bio-materials on failed femur implants to provide cause and

effect conclusion for forensic investigation companies, resulting in

a new installation processes with significantly lower failure rates.

Integrated 3D imaging software into NASA Glenn Computed Tomographic

capabilities for advanced characterization of composites and

biomedical materials
