EDUCATION
B.E. FACILITIES ENGINEERING, SUNY MARITIME COLLEGE, Bronx, NY, September 2013
• SELECTED COURSEWORK: Facilities Engineering Design I&II, HVAC System Design, HVAC System Operations
and Management, Engineering Project Management
LICENSES
• Certified Universal Technician as Required by 40 CFR Part 82
INTERNSHIP & PROJECTS
FACILITIES ENGINEERING INTERN, COVANTA ENERGY, East Northport, NY, Summer 2013
• Reviewed the plant operating manual for various systems and traced out these systems as per the Facility
Process and Information Diagrams (P&ID's).
• Took log readings for the various systems throughout the Facility.
• Monitored the plant via the Facility Distributed Control System (DCS).
• Assisted in modifying the operator interface screens on the DCS so as to add typical range and alarm information
to the various monitored parameters.
• Assisted in the engineering and design of a new non-ferrous recovery system by confirming field measurements
to design drawings.
• Assisted in electrical and P&ID drawing revisions by using AutoCAD 2013 to modify drawings presented by the
Facility Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians.
FACILITIES ENGINEERING PROJECT, MONTEFIORE MEDICAL CENTER, Bronx, NY, Spring 2013
Developed a matrix detailing emergency and normal loads of an electrical distribution system to insure NFPA
•
codes compliance and operational needs of the Center are met.
Created a life safety and critical care assessment, documenting NFPA codes that were in compliance and adding
•
specific loads in need of compliance, including Medical Gas and Lighting to provide emergency power.
Identify loads served by individual automatic transfer switches (ATS) units.
•
Determined additional capacity requirements to meet the recommendations of survey; delivered cost analysis.
•
Set the stage to accommodate additional diesel generators by designing a single line schematic showing
•
interconnection points.
Developed backup generator to replace existing structure with a robust system.
•
SUNY MARITIME RIESENBERG HALL PROJECT, SUNY MARITIME COLLEGE, Bronx, NY, September 2012
Evaluated efficiency of heating and cooling system; delivered a summary of building’s machine systems after
•
conducting a Machinery Inventory assessment then focused on the analysis, improvement measures, and results
of the Electrical Systems, Building Envelope, AC Systems, Heating Systems, Piping Analysis, and Plumbing
Systems; wrote a report for the professor.
MECHANICAL ENGINEERING INTERN, SIEMEN ENERGY, Orlando, FL, Summer 2011
Shadowed Master Engineers to discover the process of designing components of Gas Turbines.
•
Documented design philosophy for a component of Gas Turbines; presented findings to management.
•
Attended and documented status meetings and workshops with professional engineers.
