To Whom It May Concern:
I was excited to see the position of District Sales Manager available for
North American Breweries. I am interested in working for a company that I
am passionate about and can provide an excellent product to society. I know
that with my proven success in sales, analysis, organization, quick
learning and drive for success, I will be an asset to your company
With my work history, I have learned and developed many skills that will
make me an asset to your company. One of them is generating sales. I have
always done this by listening to what my customer wants and then being able
to recommend what they need. I also love to spot trends and be the one to
point them out to others that may not have noticed them. I am currently
selling several products that have 15% to 20% of the regional sales (120
stores). I am constantly thinking of ways to improve and sell more
products. I like to have contests with incentives for whoever can sell the
most. I have done this in each position in one form or the other, and has
lead to an increase in sales and employee morale.
I have gained a lot of knowledge in my years in retail and feel there is
always a learning opportunity. I try to teach something new to at least one
person everyday. I have helped numerous associates get to the next level
and I am always encouraging them to keep improving and always strive for
the next level or higher responsibility. I believe in leading by example so
I focus on being a good, strong leader that works well in a challenging,
fast-paced, high stress and deadline-oriented environment that is retail
management. In fact, that is how I came to work for Menards. While at
Circuit City, a customer purchased a TV from my store and when they got it
home, the screen was smashed. He brought it back and was very furious with
us. To make matters worse, it was our last one and a close out, so I could
not get anymore. I was able to defuse the situation and get him into a
better TV for the same price. Needless to say he was very happy with
customer service. A few months later, Circuit City was liquidated. He then
came back and offered me a job at Menards.
I strive for success and have always reached my goals. I am self-motivated
and extremely hard worker. My wife says I work to hard. I have always put
in more time then am asked. I love selling product that I am passionate. I
am typically planning my next move and how I can implement it. I know I
have the skills you are looking for.
Thank you for taking the time to review my application. I have updated my
resume and I am sending it along for your review. I am very excited for
this opportunity and hope to be apart of your company. I feel that I have
the skills and willingness to learn, so that I can grow with your company
and be a benefit for you.
Sincerely,
Robert Conat
