DST SYSTEMS, INC., KANSAS CITY, MO

SOFTWARE ENGINEER 2003 - 2008

Nightly batch cycle would not complete in time to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA) of our

newest client. The Retirement Recordkeeping software was integrated with the Mutual Fund

Recordkeeping software consisting of approximately 1600 nightly batch jobs and took 8–10 hours to

execute depending on the size of the client. The new client did not require the Mutual Fund

Recordkeeping processing. After intense analysis, determined the only way to meet the SLA’s was to

split Retirement Recordkeeping software from Mutual Fund Recordkeeping software into its own

executable system.

Led a team to improve time to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA) 75% for new client by

conceiving and implementing split of Retirement Recordkeeping software from Mutual Fund

Recordkeeping software.

The Retirement Recordkeeping system is now being marketed as standalone product, where

prospective clients are no longer required to purchase the combined software package to utilize the

Retirement Recordkeeping component. Enabling DST Systems, INC. to spin-off a new subsidiary;

DST Retirement Solutions, LLC.
