PROJECT D ESCR I P T IO N :

Model incidence system is an essential part of any wind tunnel and is used to Travers

the model over a range of pitch, roll and yaw angles to generate the force data using internal

strain gauge balance. Depending on the tunnel test section dimensions and proposed wind

tunnel tests on the models, different tunnels have adapted model incidence system suitable

for particular tunnel.

As a part of dissertation work preliminary design the model incidence mechanism

and computer control DC servo motor driven three degree freedom (pitch, yaw and roll)

model incident system has been for low speed wind tunnel of the test section 0.8 m (height)

x 1.2m (width) x 2.5 (length) rectangular cross section.
