results by the physician and physician’s assistant for a variety of

medical reports such as patient histories, physical examinations,

Front office duties; Greet patients, gather personal and financial

i nformation, make sure their insurance is up to date, and ascertain

p urpose of visit then direct them to appropriate staff. Answer

telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff. Schedule and

confirm patient’s appointments. Knowledge of insurance plans.

I ncoming referrals. Update demographics and insurance

i nformation. Operate office equipment such as voice, mail

messaging, fax machine, copier and computer. Collect co-pays or

office visits charges.

B ack office duties; Prepare t reatment rooms for patient’s

examinations, keep the rooms neat and clean. Show patients to

examination rooms and prepare them for the physician. Record

patient’s medical history, take vitals and record them. Prepare and

administer medications as directed by a physician. Give injections

w hen instructed to do so by the physician. Authorize drug refills and

p rovide prescription information to pharmacies. Clean and sterilize

i nstruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
