Field Engineer
Took initiative to completely re-vamp our building to increase efficiency, improve safety, and upgrade personal
spaces. Drew up plans and secured all the necessary IT, telecom, and facilities resources. Led a multi-functional
effort to successfully implement the plan which ultimately received high praise from our customer who had
previously been very critical of the work space. Received special recognition for these efforts.
• Performed supervisory and lead functions, including daily planning, long-term project assessment, time-
to-completion estimates, and providing direction for daily subordinate operations.

• Executed complete build-up of electronic shelter assembly, including rack assemblies and installation,
chassis assemblies and installation, computer internal modifications, total wiring installation, terminations
and dressout, and electrical components installation.
• Close liaison with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure proper fit and function of all shelter
assemblies, chassis assemblies, cables, and components.
• Occasional travel to operational locations to perform electrical and mechanical upgrade modifications to
shelter unit.
• Performed test-phase troubleshooting of power supplies, LRUs (including motherboard assembly), KVM
and RF systems using volt meters and Time Domain Reflectometry to discover fault location, and
correcting problems in-place.
Aircraft Electrician
• Served as on-aircraft shift supervisor for 15 individuals, taking personal initiative to train and mentor new
and/or less experienced aircraft electrical technicians. Resulting from my direct tutelage, individuals went
on to become highly effective technicians and mentors.
• Performed modification work on Air Force One on-board communication systems.
• Routed wire harnesses into RC-135 Rivet Joint aircraft, and terminated wire ends and shielding into
various types of connectors, including multi-wire and coaxial connectors.
• Read and interpreted engineering drawings to build circuits and connectors to applicable specifications.
Both crimping and soldering techniques used to facilitate builds.

• Reporting directly to pilot-in-command, regularly managed 2-10 aircrewmen.
• Instructed and trained fellow engineers on all aircraft systems including: electrical, power sources,
