Summary
I am currently a skilled and experienced dispenser in a busy pharmacy, this
has been my profession for the past 5 years and I am currently looking for
a new challenge. Working in pharmacies has helped me to become very
adaptable and deal with high pressure situation's whilst still being able
to be patient orientated. Most of my job has been clinically related with
regards to quickly and efficiently assembling drugs and helping the
pharmacist to identify any interactions between medicines and giving
patient advice. I am confident with using computer systems, versatile and a
fast learner. Regarding my experience in patient needs I have a strong
belief in being comfortable and confident in giving people advice that
adapt to individual needs. I am conscientious of dealing with delicate and
troubling matters and I know when to refer to the correct channel when
needed. I work well with people and as a team and I believe I am organised,
flexible, and able to easily converse with people. I am looking for a
challenging full time position that will further my skills. I am able to
work flexible hours. I am dedicated to any role I take on and I am very
articulate and strive to be a committed member of a team. I also have a
strong belief in allpeople being treated with the same consistent level of
empathy, respect and consideration.

EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
Sood chemist - 2012 - present
I currently work as a dispenser my role includes giving patient advice and
assembling prescriptions accurately and assisting the pharmacist. This is
an independent pharmacy and this gave me the experience to be a lot more
patient focussed rather than target focussed. This role has furthered my
clinical knowledge and given me more confidence with interaction with
patients.
Lloyds Pharmacy - 2007 - 2012
I started in Lloyds as a counter assistant for a year and then progressed
to achieve my NVQ2 to be a dispenser I was in this role for four years and
I was also promoted to supervisor. Lloyds offered extensive training in
customer services and correct points of selling they held work shops on how
to interact and engage people. My role as supervisor furthered my people
skills and how to manage my work load efficiently with balance and how to
work well under pressure. Both pharmacies worked with different computer
systems and I was able to adapt and learn quickly how to use them to
they're full extent
Education
Bath College - 2007 - 2008
I obtained C grades in English language and English literature at AS level
I did not go on to complete my A levels as I wanted to go on to be a
dispenser as healthcare was my interest.
Oldfield Girls School - 2002 - 2007
Maths, Science, English, Business studies, Media Studies, Art, History
I received A grades in media and English, B grades in business, science,
art and history and a C grade in maths I also have a diploma in PE
Interests
My main hobby is reading and painting I have a strong love of old English
literature. I also sometimes study medical conditions and treatments in my
spare time if I come across something for example a medicine I will look it
up to understand its use as it could be useful in the future. I have an
active social life and value my friends highly they know my profession and
where I can I help them with healthcare problems, however I do not pretend
to be an expert so I advise where I can and if not I advise to speak to
someone with a more extensive knowledge than my own.
