Actively and positively participated in the transfer of accounting information from one accounting software to the other.

Was a key driving personnel in the formulation and implementation of sales procedures for both local and foreign customers.

Work Experience

Indeni Petroleum Refinery Company Ltd –Assistant Management Accountant (2005 – date)

Reporting to Management Accountant

The job purpose is to determine the value of all local and foreign purchases for the purpose of preparing Financial Statements. It also includes accounting for both local and foreign receivables and reconciliation of accounts up to trial balance.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor Government funded projects for plant rehabilitation.

Monitor the disbursements on the Capital works in progress before project closure.

Assist with the preparation of quarterly management accounts.

Review of monthly expenditure against budget reports.

Monthly preparation of Cost analysis reports.

Providing information to Bank of Zambia and Central statistics on company performance.

Computation and submission of income tax returns.

Critical analysis of Financial statements in order to advise management on key ratios.

Coordinates both internal and external audits.

Tracking of all deposits by customers using Bank statements.

Monthly account reconciliation up to trial balance, making necessary accounting adjustments.

Accounts for both local and foreign purchases, ensuring that procurement procedures are adhered to.

Advising the cost of various goods and services provided by the company.
