Professional Experience

(Sep 2017 – Karthikeyan Associates, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India Till present) Designation: Assistant Design Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

Analysis, Design and Detailing of foundation, beams, columns and slabs of a two storied Duplex Villa

(area 2500 sq.ft) in madhavaram locality. It is a RCC structure, the substructure and superstructure analysis and design was completely done manually and the drawing detailing was done in Autocad.

Analysis and Design of a Marriage Hall in Sholinganallur (area 15500 sq.ft). The substructure and the column upto roof level was a RCC structure and the roof was completely a steel truss. Analysis and design was done in staad.pro software. The truss was a pinned base connected to the RCC columns at the roof level. The same building was done completely as a steel structure (for document purpose only).

Repair and Rehabilitation of Auxilium School building which is an existing G+1 building. The purpose of the repair was to add a floor and lift arrangement. In order to strengthen the existing structure for the additional load the foundation was checked and micro piles were added, columns were strengthened by grouting low viscous epoxy chemicals and RCC inverted beam at the existing first floor level was replaced by an ISMB 600 steel beam.

Foundation, Grade beam, Column and Staircase design was done for several RCC structures in a township area in Paruthipattu near Avadi.

Estimation of bill of quantities of both RCC and Steel was done for several projects.

Frequent site visits has been carried out for all the structure that I have designed and detailed.
