PERSONAL OBJECTIVE:

To secure a management position within an organization that will allow me to utilize my skills and talents to advance in the organization’s growth as well as my personal career objectives.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

January 2019-Current Lawyers Office Legal Assistant

This job requires a very motivated, organized, assertive, energetic, self-motivator and has the ability to work alone for long periods of time with little to no supervision. Working in an office by yourself gives you a chance to use your inherent abilities, such as, deep concentration, commitment, unconventional thinking, powerful observation, and good listening skills. While I do work in an office by myself for most of the day, I am responsible for receiving any and all mail that contains personal/confidential information. Answering all phone calls that come into the office and dealing with sensitive and confidential information. I am in charge of helping and assisting all potential or current clients. Handling money, as well as credit card payments. I am responsible for drafting motions and orders, and any and all documentations, memorandums, working with the Judical Assistants, other Attorneys, Court Reporters, Mediators, Process Servers. I work closely with the Sheriff's Office and the jail closely. I schedule any and all hearings that are set, and prepare all of the motion and orders and, and prepare notices for these hearings. I help the attorney get things ready and help prep the case for trial. Trials can last for a day, to a week, to multiple weeks depending on the type of cases we work with. I have massive amounts of e-mails that I am responsible for reading, responding to, and taking any action that needs done with the e-mails. Every task is different, there is never a same case scenario and the action is never repetitive.

• March 2017- Allstate: Customer Service Representative until April 2017

This job requires a very motivated, organized, and it would eventually be working with little supervision. I had never worked in the Insurance field before so it is a great learning experience. I worked at the front desk in the office. I answered all phone calls that came into the office, I took payments from customers who walked in to the office and needed assistance or called in to make their payments over the phone. When answering the phone, I tried to answer as many of the questions that I knew the answers to, because I was trying to take some of the workload off and assist the other two ladies that were in the office. If it didn't fall within my job description at the time, and I didn't know the answer, then I transferred the call to whomever was free. I had just received my 440 license in the middle of March. I am very eager to learn, and I loved my job and the people I worked with. I love that this is a challenge, and I love learning something new every day. I plan on continuing to seek out classes that I can get my licenses in different areas of insurance, once I am comfortable with my 440 licenses. Since I was new at this I would always go over to my co-worker's desks to see what they were doing and try to pick up on things I didn't know about and learn different styles or their techniques to see if they would work for me as well. I feel that I have learned a lot in the brief time that I have had my license.

• May 2011-Currently not enrolled:

I am currently working towards obtaining my Associate in Science Degree in Business Management.

• August 1993-May 2011: Osceola County Clerk’s Office: Juvenile Court Clerk

This job required a very motivated, organized, and energetic person who could do many different jobs at one time. Working in the courtroom was my primary job. Having a great understanding of customer service was a must while working with the public on a daily basis. I was responsible for preparing all of the court dockets and checking over the court files to make sure all documents were filed correctly. A Court Clerk is responsible for preparing all of the court orders for the Judge in a fast and timely manner. When not in the courtroom, I was responsible for any tasks that needed to be completed, in addition to closing out cases as well as answering the phone and face to face contact with customers who are dealing with very emotional issues. Maintaining a very calm and passionate understanding for the customers during this time was a great asset. Due to my extensive history with the Clerk’s Office, I also filled in as a Manager, when the Manager was unavailable, or out of the office.
