PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

In final year, I have done a project based on demand of fuels. The title of the project is “BIODIESEL PRODUCTION FROM POMEGRANATE PEELS USING BASE CATALYST”. Biodiesel seems to be a solution for future. It is considered as most promising alternative for fossil fuels as it has robust combustion characteristics and self-sustainability. This report deals with the production of biodiesel from the oil of Pomegranate by KOH catalyst. Maximum oil content present in the peel which was determined using Soxhlet’s extraction process methanol to oil molar ratio was found out to be 9:1. About 90% of yield was achieved from this process using a catalyst.

I have also done a Mini Project on title “MANUFACTURE PROCESS OF TRIFLURALIN”. Trifluralin is s soil incorporated herbicide which has been used for agriculture purposes since 1963. This herbicide is used to remove the unwanted grasses in agriculture.
