ENGINEERING EMPLOYMENT
Engineering Intern at TAPECON, Buffalo, NY (Sep 2018- July 2019)
-Designed and built a fully functional portable POD (Prototype On Demand) Workstation for Screen Printing (team project worth $10,000).
-As a technical manager of the project, I was responsible for the Design, CAD modeling, Analysis (FEA, GD&T, Heating Effect), DQ-IQ-OQ-PQ (Design, Installation, Operation and Performance Qualification), DFM, Assembly after manufacturing, Technical reports and presentations as part of the customer relationship for the project.
-The project involved working with the third party for manufacturing of the parts and had to collaborate with outside team of engineers.
-The POD is designed as a business experimental model and is part of UB incubator as a prototype testing device. The data from the model is being collected for the next phase of the project which aims at adding more features to the POD and increasing its efficiency.
ENGINEERING RESEARCH
Game-Based Learning Project, UB Inc, Buffalo, NY (Sep 2018- May 2019)
-Created games in JAVASCRIPT and Unity as a new initiative in engineering course work. The objective was to have innovative and interactive coursework to help better understand the engineering concepts. The games designed are based on the concepts in Dynamic, Dynamic System and Intermediate Dynamics.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Student Assistant at University at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY
-Working/worked at three different departments.
- Mechanical Engineering Department: Appointed as a Grader for junior level courses because of exceptional performance. Graded 600+ assignments every two weeks. (Jan 2019 - May 2019)
- Athletic Facilities and Events Department at UB: Heavy gear setup, Equipment Inventory, Supervision & Training, Customer support, Tech help (Software, Gadgets, Hardware). (Sep 2017- present)
LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
SEDS: Battlebots Lead (Sep 2019- May 2019)
-Led the 2018-19 battle bot team at the university competition with a 45lb, 22in 24in crash bot worth $500.
-As the lead, I was responsible for Battle Bot CAD Design, Analysis & Testing (FEA, Strength & Durability after production), Manufacturing/Machining, Machine Shop Training, Project Budget, and Team and Project Management.
-Design and constructed bot chassis, transmission and other mechanical parts.
Nvision: Student Body Project In-charge (Sep 2017- Sep 2018)
-Co-founder of a startup parking project; Park Easy. The project was designed for institutions with a large parking spaces (universities, hospitals, large business)
-Phase 1: Designed a parking sensor and a system to detect the number of cars entering and exiting the parking lot. The data from the sensor system will be used by the app to tell the user the number of parking spaces available in a parking lot. (Phase 2 still incomplete)
Indian Navy: Senior Leading cadet and platoon leader (Sep 2009 - Sep 2012)
-Recruited under the special program run by the Indian Navy for students with high academic standing.
