MILITARY POLICEMAN MCRD SAN DIEGO SEPT 2018-MAY 2019
•During my years as a law enforcement officer, I have learned a variety of communication skills. I have been trained to de-escalate hostile personnel using the least amount of force possible.
•Quite often I was required to correct and/or cite individuals much higher ranking than myself. I quickly became proficient and comfortable correcting my superiors in a manner as not to bring discredit upon myself or my co-workers.
•As a Fireteam Leader in the Marine Corps, I was charged with the responsibility of three junior Marines. I was solely responsible for ensuring these Marines were properly trained, as well as physically and mentally prepared for the stresses of combat. Serving as a Fireteam Leader taught me the importance of placing the interests and well-being of my subordinates before my own.
FIELD MILITARY POLICEMAN 3RD LAW ENFORCEMENT BN AUG 2015-SEPT 2018
•During my time in 3rd LE, I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. I performed numerous combat readiness exercises in Korea and mainland Japan, as well as many joint-exercises with various services and foreign militaries. Our unit also participated in the Mountain Warfare Training package located in Bridgeport California. Through these varied experiences I have become extremely well-rounded and am capable of performing a wide variety of security or escort-based tasks.
•As a Field Military Policeman, I responded to two separate downed aircraft on the island and was a vital asset in aiding the company in establishing the security and recovery operations. My ability to lead others as well as mitigate friction in a kinetic environment resulted in a swift recovery of the aircraft, as well as written commendations from both my Commanding Officer and the Provost Martial of our partnering unit.
•I have extensive training and experience with the use and maintenance of small arms, as well as crew-serve weaponry.
