When I moved to Indiana, I immediately applied for engineering licensing through reciprocity and was denied due to a technicality with the registration laws. The Ohio Board gave me four years of credit for five years of education tine and four years of work experience across seven years of time. The overlapping time and work experience in sitting for the engineers exam amounted to the requisite eight total calendar and physical years of the necessary experience when I took the Ohio examination and would need to take the Indiana exam Indiana Board determined that the rules were not met and that I was 34 days short of the required experience. After over 23 years between examinations, I did take the Indiana Board exam and later found out that I had scored second highest on the professional exam. If you want an individual with that tenacity and attention for detail, then you should be talking to me sooner rather than later.
