I have over 25 years Canadian experience in Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems and SCADA design on a wide-range of projects in the water and wastewater, chemical and petrochemical industries. My extensive consulting experience is in the field of instrumentation and control engineering. That includes process control and electrical schematics, PLC (Control Logix, Compact Logix, ControlWaves, GE Fanuc RX3i, etc), configuration and interfaces, modem and radio serial communications. This experience refers to pre-design, cost estimate, instrument and equipment selection and sizing, detailed engineering design, specification and tendering, control system integration, commissioning and start-up, trouble-shooting and construction supervision.

Lead Engineer for I&C and SCADA systems for design and expansion of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants including conceptual and detailed design. Usually, the new or expanded treatment plants include the extension of sewage Pumping station, new Headwork treatment, new Primary and Secondary clarification, Aeration tanks, Chemical facility, new UV Disinfection facility, expanded Digestion and Biosolids handling facility. Usually, the existing facilities were upgraded by replacing the old PLC’s with new Allen Bradley Control Logix series PLC”s. The existing SCADA network were upgraded too, by creating a complete new fiber optic network and upgraded servers, coordination with electrical and mechanical disciplines, Variable Frequency Drive and Soft-starter schematics.
Tender documentation includes P&ID’s diagrams, Installation details, Field transmitters layouts, instrumentation loops diagrams, PLC configuration and I/O’ wiring diagrams, area classification, instruments specification, Process Control Narrative (PCN), PLC control panels drawings and BOM, control valves and/or dosing pumps calculations / sizing, Addendums, “for construction” drawings set, shop drawings, commissioning and start-up.

PLC Platform Migration\SCADA Design, City of Toronto, ON, I&C and SCADA lead Engineer for implementation of the new GE RX3i PLC within R.L.Clark Water Plant facilities. Second task of this job was to replace the existing local control system (using Yokogawa controllers) with central Control System.
Mid-Halton Wastewater Treatment Plant Outfall Project, Region of Halton, ON, I&C and SCADA lead Engineer for the detailed design of the control and SCADA monitoring system for the Outfall structures.
