TransAlta International consists of coal-fired, gas-fired, hydro and renewable generation

assets in Canada, United States, Mexico and Australia.

Define authority, responsibility and accountabilities for all turnaround and maintenance team members.

Responsible for developing QA/QC technical procedures, assist in developing and qualifying weld procedures for project Subcontractors assignment, assistance and surveillance of project Subcontractors quality control, testing and inspection. ABB technical procedures were reviewed for conformance to Russian SNIPs and GOST and work was monitored to assure compliance.

2001 – 2002 – Duke Energy Corporation, Las Vegas, Nevada

Project Construction Manager - Oversee General Contractor and Subcontractors during all phases of construction, pre-commissioning/commissioning and plant start-up activities. Power Plant Project consisted of constructing a $1.1 billion dollar 1200 megawatt, four on two-combined cycled, gas fired power facility as well as construction of 500KV transmission and distribution power line facility. Steam turbine/ generators and gas turbine/generators (7FA, 7FH2) were manufactured by General Electric.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Organize and table meetings between General Contractor and Subcontractors to facilitate communications for updating current and future activities during project construction.

Insure accurate reporting is provided from contractors to client regarding safety, progress/productivity, schedule, quality control, material deliveries, etc.

Provide daily/monthly reports to Duke Project Director and Corporate Office.

Oversee Contractor daily field activities and construction as well as inspection of materials and equipment being installed.

Review/approve documentation regarding additional work scope, back charges and cost/expense affiliated issues.
