SUMMARY:

I possess extensive experience working with PLC’S (Allen Bradley and Siemens); Electronic and Pneumatic Instrumentation Process Control System; Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Automated Operated Systems; and over the years have developed excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills. I have been deeply involved in many grass-root start-ups of different types of plants; the training of Operations and Maintenance staff both, theoretically and practically; making sure the different plants are operated in a safe and efficient manner; and Planning, Supervising and Motivating workers so as to maximize production and produce high quality products for the customers. I wish to say that most of the plants I worked on are very highly sophisticated with fully computerized systems. However, I am flexible to any type of industrial environment.

NB – From 2015 – 2019 I did three (3) contracts jobs, all of which are in the food industry. They are as follows :-

1)Sonoco Flexible Packaging – Shift Supervisor – Three (3) months contract – Managed entire operations of plant – Flexo-Printing and Slitting (Food Packaging).

2)Give and Go Prepared Foods – Production Supervisor – Six (6) weeks contract - Managed entire operations of plant – Prepared different types of foods for big customers.

3)Gate Gormet Canada – Operations Supervisor – (4) months - Managed entire operations of plant - Prepared different types of foods for different airlines – Airport location.

September 2014 - December 2014 (Contract Work)

Operations Supervisor - Richardson Oilseed Ltd (Food Processing) – Mississauga, Ontario

Trained Production Supervisors, Team Leaders, Process Operators, and Production staff in Health and Safety, GMP'S, SOP's, 5S, KPI, and Lean Manufacturing. Also, updated all employee personal files for proper training documentation, Licences and Certification etc.

June 2014 - August 2014 (Contract Work)

Production Administrator - Erie Meats Ltd - Poultry (Food Processing) – Mississauga, Ontario.

Trained Production Managers, Production Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisors, Team Leaders, QC Inspectors and Production staff in Health and Safety, GMP's, SOP's, 5S, KPI and Lean Manufacturing. Also, reviewed and updated all employee personal files for proper job training documentation, Licences and Certification etc.

January 2008 – May 2014.

Plant Manager – Chai Kosher Poultry (Food Processing) – Toronto, Ontario.

Responsibilities Include: Managed/Supervised two (2) Managers (Production and Maintenance) with eight (8) Production Supervisors, with a staff of 120 employees. Food Processing (chickens, turkeys, ducks, Cornish hens and fowls). Managed the Kill, Defeathering, Evisceration, Whole Birds, Deboning, Tray Pack, Scales, Shipping and Receiving and Dry Storage Departments. Good working experience in Lean Manufacturing, GMP’s, SOP’s, HACCP, KPI and Health and Safety along with interfacing with CFIA and USDA Inspections, WSIB, Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Environment. Working experience in heading Pit-Stops and Operator-Maintenance PM, Animal Welfare, microbiology and sanitary processes. Improved the efficiency of different process systems and reduced manpower costs and accident record to zero for two consecutive years. Demonstrated excellent leadership, communication and team building skills in order to get the work done in a safe and efficient manner. Hired full-time and part-time staff and prepared weekly payroll reports. Co-Chairperson (Management Representative – Certified Member) of the Health and Safety Committee. Responsibilities Include: Managed four (4) Production Supervisors and eight (8) Team Leaders with a staff of 250 employees – Unionized environment – Food Processing. Managed the Kill, Defeathering, Evisceration, Whole Birds, Tray pack, Deboning and further processing (which include slicing, specialty cuts, marinating, TSM –template slicing machine, Injection - injecting seasoning in meat and tumbling and cooking). Good working knowledge of GMP’s, SOP’s, KPI, SQF, GFSI, BRC and HACCP along with interfacing with CFIA and USDA Inspections, WSIB, Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Environment. Working experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Methodologies, headed Pit-Stops and Operator-Maintenance PM, Animal Welfare, microbiology and sanitary processes. Through Six Sigma projects, I improved the efficiency of the breast de-boning machine, improved the throughput of the Kill department and reduced the accident record to zero for two consecutive years which save the company millions of dollars annually. Demonstrated excellent leadership and communication skills and developed a strong team building relationship among all the employees in the workplace. Trained employees in Masterbrand product quality which exceeds industrial standards. Performed Safety Audits to reduce OHSA recordable accidents. Responsibilities Include: Managed/Supervised 45 staff – Unionized environment – Managed entire operations of plant which manufactures non-latex medical gloves. State-of-the-Art operations and a SOP/GMP environment. ISO-14001 Certification. Worked with Word and Excel computer programs. Attended daily production meetings and reported to the Production Manager and Vice-President of Operations. Company closure.

October 1997 – December 1999

Production Supervisor – Pet-Pak Containers – Mississauga, Ontario.

Responsibilities Include: Managed/Supervised 45 staff – Unionized environment – Stretch Blow Moulding (PET Bottles) - Custom plastic bottles for the food and beverage companies – 12 machines. Worked with Word and Excel computer programs. Attended daily production meetings and reported to the Production Manager.

December 1994 – October 1997

Production Supervisor – ABC Group Company - Automotive (Tier 1 and Tier 2) – Rexdale, Ontario.

Responsibilities Include: Managed/Supervised 75 staff. Extrusion Blow Moulding (Plastic Automotive parts for General Motors, Chrysler and Ford) – 16 machines. New Plant Start-Up. QS-9000 and ISO-9001/9002 Quality Systems. “Just-in-Time” Systems (JIT). Good knowledge of TS16949. Worked with Word and Excel computer programs. Attended daily production meetings and reported to the Production and Plant Managers.
