With a total work experience of more than 10 years in debt management and credit control, I am currently working with BUDGET RENT A CAR, BAHRAIN as a Credit Controller. My responsibilities include studying credit applications, assessing the risk on new accounts by way of the credit information provided, assisting in analysis of the same, obtaining credit reports from the credit rating agencies, collecting payments on time, etc. Managing the team of ten members’ and chasing for payment with more than 500 customers directly to achieve the monthly target.

Major Responsibilities:

1.Manage and monitor the accounts receivable team to reach monthly target and minimize over 60 days debt.

2.Dealing with customer queries face-to-face, over the phone or via e-mail to identify customer payment problems and ensuring speedy resolutions.

3.Verify the potential customer's credit rating with banks and other references to make decisions as to whether to offer credit to a client.

4.Preparation of Monthly Ageing Report with analysis and submit to GM, CFO& FM

5.Manage the clients account according to payment terms and credit limit.

6.Produce weekly /monthly statements and submit to customer

7.Preparing and sending all the invoices to customers .Make sure all necessary supporting documents to be attached Viz., the LPO copy /Contract copy and other relevant papers so that the payment is processed easily

8.Make sure all collections (cash, cheque, bank transfer, electronic cards) are deposited, updated and allocated to invoices in system on daily basis.

9.Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted

10.Confirmation of balances due from companies to be obtained on regular basis. This can be done every quarter and year end is mandatory. This will help if we have to go legally.

11.Ensure that all transactions are compliant with Company's policies and Country’s regulations

12.Sending Dunning letter’s to customer before reaching overdue.

13.Establishing and maintaining good client relationships

14.Escalation certain high level of complex debt issues to top management.

15.Submit all documents to the legal division for filing legal cases against non-paying customers, after discussing with Management.

16. Ensuring all client information and documents are kept secure and confidential at all times



Was responsible for developing the company’s credit policy after consulting with other departments like, sales and purchasing. Ensured that the company was up to date with new credit management procedures and techniques. To manage and oversee the collection of customer accounts in a manner that ensures high customer satisfaction.

Bachelor of Commerce ( from Calicut University.
