Development of a Realtime Controlled Resistance Spot Welding System
(August 2018 to Present)
Description: Modification of an existing Resistance Spot Welder to a monitored System to predict Weld feature. A constant current control system is designed using Simulink. Also, the Electro- Thermal Mechanical phenomena in welding process is simulated using ANSYS.
Design of Fail-safe Braking System for Hyperloop Pod Competition 2019
(September 2018 to Present)
Design and development of Failsafe Braking System of COEP HYPERLOOP POD Concept for Hyperloop Pod Competition 2019 organized by SpaceX. Role: 1. Cad Modelling of the system and Design of Pneumatic System. 2. Energy calculations of Braking system.
3. Design calculations for passive magnetic eddy current braking at high speed (108m/s to 20m/s).
Design and Development of a 3D scanner using Arduino and MSP430
(April 2018 to June 2018)
Description: Design and Developed a 3D Scanner system to capture object data to be used for prototyping. The system collects the data about the object surface using the mechanism and stores it in the form of X, Y and Z co-ordinates. This data is processed using MatLAB to generate 3D surface or a CAD Model. The system has an accuracy of 0.5 mm.
Design and Development of PLC Controlled Pneumatically Operated Blanking Machine. (April 2018 – June 2018)
Designed the machine, Modelled the system in CAD, Simulated the operations and manufactured the machine.
Design and Development of Positioning Mechanism for Automated 7-Tank Phosphating Plant. (September-2015 to Sept-2016)
Description: Designed a CAD Model for Automated Seven Tank Phosphating Process and manufactured. The System achieved the following objectives: 1. Minimized the handling time by 11%.
2. Used sequencing of operations for multiple batch process
Design and Development of a Combat Robot (September-2013 to Sept-2015) Description: Designed and Developed a Combat Robot to Combat with other Robot using Mechanical weapons like Rotating Drum, Pneumatic Lifter etc, Won the BEST DESIGN AWARD and the 1st Prize in ROBOWARS at SHAASTRA-2014 at IIT- MADRAS.
Extra-Curricular Activities
COEP Hyperloop Brakes- Subsystem Design Lead and member of COEP Hyperloop pressurized system.
Successfully conducted 3 workshops on Engineering Applications of MatLAB and Simulink at MITCOE.
