The Project: Consolidated Master Log Service (CMLS) is a highly visible project of VISA which involves high financial and brand value impact. The application maintains detailed information of the cardholder’s database and their day to day transactions. Also, it provides a high end secured transcriptions for the cardholder’s database for fraud prevention.

Responsibilities Held:

●Analyzed, Designed and Developed new card processing framework (Tokenization) to prevent fraudulent transactions.

●Coded new COBOL batch programs to process the cardholder database adding the new four digit hexadecimal code for each transaction.

●Incorporated the changes for each of the impacted application and the products for different acquirers and issuers.

●Responsible for the end to end delivery of the applications including QA testing.

●Efficiently provided knowledge transfer to the other impacted applications team.

This project involves the expansion of Cost fields. Cost fields refer to those COBOL variables which are used to represent the price of different items of our client McLane. We have analyzed the impact on the whole system and according changed both the COBOL and Pac base programs.
