Accountable for $11 million in savings in initial 12 months of employment. Cost reductions were from pricing negotiations, RFP development, and implementation of better software asset management procedures.
Created and implemented a contract management tool that consisted of a contract management database, dashboards and reporting capabilities. The implementation allowed staff to proactively negotiate renewals and work with stakeholders to develop and plan for budgeting.
Developed a scoring model for strategic supplier selection. Model was used by the procurement staff to identify strategic suppliers across the organization and to implement a strategic supplier management program.
Sourced and negotiated the agreement and pricing for data visualization software that had C level visibility. Procurement consisted of an RFP, SaaS and on premise licensing agreements and an implementation SOW. The project reduced the number of data visualization tools from six to one, cut licensing and administration costs by 50% and became the enterprise dashboard for all managers within the company.

This enhancement to the process was used to improve the source to contract lead time and realize savings from associated projects earlier.

Avon Products
Cincinnati, OH
Senior Supply Chain Analyst
Worked with Asian, European, Indian, and South American markets to improve supply chain efficiency across the organization. Proposed and implemented a solution that would split the responsibilities in the supply chain organization into a deployment function and a planning function. Wrote processes, customized system tools, and developed new system tools. Used the new procedures and system tools to automate the deployment responsibility, cut costs, and move to a just in time inventory model. Was able to transfer 4 of 8 employees from the group and cut 15 days out of inventory. The total cost savings for this project was $1,250,000.
Received “Strongest Link of the Supply Chain” award for work on a supplier Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) project. Prior to this project, Avon had no experience with EDI. We were able to take the results of this project and develop EDI transactions with other suppliers, allowing us to get real time data on global shipments and to use that information to plan inventory movements more efficiently. This project resulted in faster and more accurate purchase orders and the elimination of a previously manual process.
