By balancing the quality of the materials, budget expectations, and price points – as well as carrying over the same design quality and DNA of the Johnston & Murphy footwear line into the leather goods, the new small leather goods line helped propel the non-footwear segment of the business from 5% of total sales to 30% of total sales.
