Sr. Claims Examiner – Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate all investigative and administrative duties while communicating critical and sensitive information with various offices, departments, and other parties.
Determine acceptance, delay or denial up front. Review for payment after initial 3pt contact for medical management thru to return to work or settlement/closure.
Manage a large volume of sensitive documents, files, records, and information in a secure, organized and professional manner for both administrative and court levels.
Facilitate all facts from medical and legal perspective files including docketing cases, discovery, deposition summaries/notices and appeals board trial preparation.
Collaborate with attorneys, investigators for pretrial preparation including the preparation of trial exhibits and notebooks.
Prepare all necessary files for WCAB hearings while drafting and preparing independent medical examination letters to physicians.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of all services, workers’ compensation regulatory and procedural policies, and resource utilization. Interface with brokers, mediators, employers, physicians, management teams to assemble resolution strategy.
