I have nearly a quarter century of heavy-civil and petrochemical construction experience. For the past ten years I served as a company director for Phylway Construction assisting their push into the federal market under contracts issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers. As a director I was involved in all projects from bid, construction, and closeout. I assisted their estimators with subcontractor and material quote requests, bid strategy, scheduling, technical writing and resource management. During construction I monitored all projects on a global scale and assisted project managers with issues that arose in regard to technical matters, constructability, quality control, safety, resources, environmental monitoring, and client relations. I monitored and assisted project managers with project cost control, billings, change order flow and accountability. Additionally, I managed all of the companies Quality Control Managers, managed and monitored all environmental permitting and compliance, managed the Small and Disadvantaged Business Participation Program; and also assisted the Safety and Health Director with compliance, staff management of SSHO’s, and investigations and reporting. I also served in a business development capacity by meeting with new and existing vendors and subcontractors, attending industry trade events, entertaining clients, representing the company at various political fund raisers for many of our local, state, and federal representatives.

With James Construction Group I served as the Project Controls Manager on the Marathon Petroleum Corporation expansion in Garyville, it was the first Mega-Project in the US and the first Refinery constructed in nearly 3 decades. At peak I had 20 direct staff with over 800 employees and 400 pieces of billable equipment on site. Also, during my time with JCG I served as project manager on various projects in Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana.
