In addition to the above, I worked at Judge, James and Dutton for about 5 years doing insurance and municipality defense work. I won a motion for judgment on the pleadings in a complex insurance coverage case. I won a summary judgment motion in a federal court false arrest case. I worked on a lead poisoning case, and I second chaired a wrongful death jury trial involving a truck-auto intersection collision.
I also worked for the Chicago Housing Authority, where I was first chair on a trip and fall jury trial. The plaintiff asked for $420,000 and was awarded $5,000.
I also worked for Bernard Nevoral & Associates, where I won an appeal on a trip and fall case. The appellate court reversed a trial court ruling of summary judgment in favor of the defendant, and, in addition, overturned the case upon which the defense relied.
