Sr. Human Resources Associate Sept 2012- Nov 2018

●Responsible for the day to day support of the HR SVP, HR Director and Labor Relations Manager

●Project leader in establishing a hiring pool of 300 employees for the start up of new crude unloading system

●Process new hires, transfers, terminations, data changes, and create and modify positions in company’s HRIS System. Run reports to validate data integrity.

●Manage Short-Term and Long Term Disability Programs. Daily monitor employees leaves, approve/denied employees for payment. Ensure employee is eligibility.

●Accountable for the company’s entire hiring process and the onboarding process (scheduling pre-employee physicals, drug screen and background checks) and the college co-op program.

●Facilitate the new hire orientation program which includes explanation of benefits, training on key policies and procedures.

●Administer the performance management process to insure the rankings and merit increases are within the established guidelines and budget.

●Accountable for FMLA compliance including tracking absences for disciplinary actions, and work with the Medical Department to determine employee time off eligibility. Prepare bi-weekly and quarterly attendance management reports for facility leadership team.

●Counsel employees on policies, payroll, and benefit matters. Proactively contact employees to identify issues and provide viable solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

●Oversee the company’s educational assistance program to ensure it is administered in compliance within company policy

●Maintain personnel and other HR files according to the records retention and destruction guidelines.

●Enroll employees in benefits and update records when necessary through our provider’s portals.
