B.Tech, Mini Project: Automatic Street Light Control System. Description:

The main objective of the project is to switch ON and OFF the street lights automatically. By using system manual works are removed. It automatically switches ON light when the sunlight goes below the visible region of our eyes and it automatically switches OFF lights whenever the sunlight comes. This is done by a sensor called Light Dependent Resistor

(LDR) which senses the light automatically.

B.Tech, Main Project: Enhancement of Power Transfer Capability and Voltage Stability using Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC).

Software Used: MATLAB

Description:

UPFC gives unique control on the power flow and voltage stability. This project regarding the 6-bus power system to control the active and reactive power in the course of transmission line by keeping this controller at the sending end by simulation tools. The circuit model for UPFC is developed using rectifier and inverter circuits. By making the power system simulation model, we are getting result without and with using UPFC and after that these results are compared in form of real and reactive power in the transmission line.

M.Tech, Set 1 Project: Design and Implementation of DC Hub for Solar Energy Powered DC loads.

Description:

Solar Powered systems provides affordable and Effective electricity for lightening and home appliances. The isolated multi output capability of Flyback Converter without needing any output inductor has become the most useful converter for low power applications. In this paper, the flyback converter with PV panel source is connected with multiple loads like DC motor, led lights and lightening loads of total 250watts. The circuit simulation is done with the parameters 24V input,40 KHz frequency and multiple output voltages of 5V, 24V and 24V with the overall efficiency of 90%. M.Tech, Set 2 Project: Comparative analysis of Different Converters for Solar pumping application

Software Used: PSIM

Description:

A comparative analysis is made among dc-dc converters such as Buck-Boost, CUK, Sepic, Landsman converters. Among these, Landsman converter can be the best from the result obtained through the simulation. A prototype was designed in laboratory environment using Solar simulator and d-SPACE 1104 where performance is at the par level compared to other conventional converters. An Electronic load of 5/50 Amp to 150V/600V was used for initial testing and a universal motor has been connected as load. From d-SPACE 1104 gate pulses were generated interfaced via MATLAB d-SPACE.
