•Pemphigus vulgaris was treated with cyclophosphamide, mycophenolate mofetil, rituximab. Rituximab was found to improve clinical response significantly in pemphigus vulgaris.

PERSONAL STATEMENT
“Success is not getting the most you can, but giving the best you can…”
As a medical person I believe I carry an awesome responsibility, to make the difference between life and death for another human being sometimes, and at many times to influence their quality of life. I believe I am working towards betterment of public health care in my own way every day.
In past I worked as a senior DMO and Head of the Dermatology Department at Central Railway Hospital, Byculla, Mumbai. I worked with and for people of different socio-economic groups, class and background. I am and was committed to the cause of Health care both personally and professionally. I efficiently handled patients from not only Central Railways but also from Western Railways, West-Central Railways, North-Western Railways.
I was the only doctor selected in Indian Railways for WHO fellowship in STDs & AIDS fellowship programme during the period of 29/10/07 to 23/11/07 at COTTISA, Bangkok, Thailand & was awarded Kanchana Panikbutra Award for the Outstanding Graduate.
While working at Dubai, I got experience in communicating the patients from different nationalities with different cultural backgrounds. It also gave an experience of different presentations of similar disease conditions. Simultaneously, I could share my clinical experience at local and international conferences.
Other than being a doctor, I consider myself to be a good orator, a dedicated teacher and a good communicator. I am of the opinion that a holistic approach to Health Care is the need of the hour, with special focus on preventive aspects, and on proper communication with the patient.
Knowledge is a pursuit, a thirst that can never be fully quenched. It is for this reason I now feel it is required for me to broaden my vision, and seek new horizons. I had the opportunity to briefly visit Thailand and South Korea, Seoul and see their working methods. It has been said that “Man cannot discover new oceans until he has the courage to lose sight of the shore”…. I am keen to embark of this new voyage of discovery, hoping to find new frontiers.
