·Managed, designed and prototyped a copper skived fin cold plate used to cool an array of laser diode devices.

·Design included fin pitch optimization, CFD and overall form factor. Generated and presented a design report to the customer.

·Final design was 3D modeled along with generating detailed manufacturing drawings and tolerance stack ups.

·Communicated effectively with CNC, skived fin & brazing vendors during the rapid prototyping stage.

Atom Power Switch Panel Heat Sink August 2017 – December 2017

·Designed and prototyped a 3-foot by 1-foot flat back heat sink integrated with embedded heat pipes used to cool a series of MOSFET modules that produce a large amount of waste heat.

·Performed detailed CFD using ANSYS IcePak observing temperature distribution patterns based on different form factors and heat pipe additions.

·Generated and presented a detailed thermal report including simulation results of trails and recommending a potential solution to the customer. Currently in production.
