Architect of Record and Senior Project Manager for a variety of projects responsible for project designs, management and coordination of in-house staff and teams of sub-consultants. As Architect / Project Manager, I successfully implemented 7 cruise terminal projects; four of them simultaneously. Developed and maintained client relationships; coordinated with accounting department for budget tracking, billing, and cash flow projection purposes; and reported overall project status to upper management on a monthly basis for all assigned projects. As Program Manager, I fulfilled the Owner's Representative role by establishing program controls and procedures while building a team of professionals to provide Design and Construction Management services for multiple concurrent projects. Successfully managed the Owner's Architectural and Engineering Consultant contracts, Construction Contracts, documentation of the Program Work Plan, Program Master Cost Model, and coordinated events among various departments internal to the Owner. I presented progress reports to City Commissions and Funding Oversight Committees on behalf project Owners. While with the State of Tennessee, I served as a civilian Architect for the Tennessee Military Department, implementing projects from inception through construction of both new and renovation projects as well as training ranges; Architect and Program Manager for the Department of Finance and Administration managing an eight year capital improvement program which included renovations, improvements and expansions to every prison in the Tennessee Department of Correction system, as well as 4 new 2,000 bed medium security state prison facilities. As the Assistant Director of Facilities Management for Tennessee State Parks I was responsible for the management of the capital improvement design process, contract negotiations, programming, budget control, construction administration and project closeout.
