Reported to the General Manager and led a team of 20 employees in Environment, Health and Safety.

As a senior executive manager, managed the location as a profit center and supervise the environment, health and safety of staff as well as the equipment, to ensure low level of incidents and zero accidents.

Developed initiatives across all departments and functions reducing the production cost and delivering consistent high quality, cost-effective service to internal & external customers.

Built and sustained an efficient waste management system to ensure 90 % recycling of the filter cake and treatment of waste water.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Converting the carbonation process from hydrated lime to quick lime which saved $0.75/MT of sugar (i.e. $2M/yr, since 1998 ).

Creating and design the process of new product “Extra Fine Sugar“ on 2001 which opened a potential market of $25M per year.

Converting the mesh wire screen to wedge wire screen in the melter which reduced the overflow and frequent chock of the screen.

Modification in the Granulated Active Carbon columns which increased the production rate by 300%.

Modification in the screen system which allowed the increase of the flow rate and the production rate.

Modification of the dryer to accommodate the increase of the production from 100MT/hr to 300MT/hr.
