Project Value : BND 13,039,000.00

GENERAL

The Works associated with the water supply system shall include design (including detailed Engineering design and calculations), supply of materials, install, construct, and test and commission a complete water supply system consisting of the following:

SCOPE OF WORKS;

The Contractor shall design, execute and complete the Works in accordance with the Contract, and shall perform the Operation Service and remedy any defects in the Works.

• Offshore Bridge: 2,680m – consisting of 900m west approach bridge section, 400m main bridge section, and 1,380m east approach bridge section

• Road: 3,235m – consisting of 310m west approach road (on the Mainland at Kampung Serasa) and 2,925m east approach road at PMB Island.

Project Description : UPGRADING WORK ON STORAGE RESERVOIR AT MENGKUBAU DAM (DESIGN AND BUILD)

1) GENERAL

This is infrastructure Project for raising the existing Mengkubau Dam to increase the storage capacity of the dam, thereby increase the reservoir yield in order to meet the increasing raw water demand of Brunei Muara area.

2) SCOPE OF WORKS

The main scopes of works are listed below:

Detail design covering all aspects of dam and reservoir upgrade,Site clearance and grubbing

The probable maximum full supply level to be raised to EL 32.90m, which is 4.2m higher Than existing design

Raising the dam embankment (approximately 340m long) by 3.7m and its appurtenant Structures

Replacing the existing Ogee spillway with raised Labyrinth type and its spilling capacity is designed to be identical to the existing spillway capacity

Extending both draw-off towers to suit the new Full Supply Level (FSL) and replacing Architectural features identically

Providing a new draw-off point as surface intakes on each extended draw-off tower and Replacing all the hydro-mechanical equipment to suit the new FSL

Installing new dam instrumentation and extending the existing ones

Re-constructing the dam access road to suit the raised crest level

DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE DEPARTMENT

Project Description : SKIM PENGURUSAN BANJIR DI DATARAN SG TUTONG / TUTONG FLOOD PLAIN MANAGEMENT (PHASE 1)

Project Value : BND 10.82 Million

1) GENERAL

This is a civil infrastructure project involving capital works to reduce flood susceptibility and damages in Tutong Floodplain. Works are based on the Drainage Works packages outlined in Sungai Tutong Floodplain Management Plan.

2) SCOPE OF WORKS

The Works involve: diversion of waterways into retention areas; construction of collector channels and concrete drains; new culverts to replace bailey bridges, and driveway crossings to ensure access along roads and into houses; gabions and other materials for embankment stabilisation. Location of the works is spread over 15km2 of the Tutong Floodplain between Layong through Lamunin, Kiudang, Kebia and Birau.

3) PROJECT COMPONENTS

Facilities proposed are generally in order of highest priority, and greatest flood reduction for the lowest cost outlay. Exact scope may be refined following topo-survey and land ownership constraints along channel and drain alignments. Location and works include:-

Matasan: Trunk Drain: 530m trunk drain, culverts replacing 2 Bailey bridges, 2,200m2 Reno mattress gabions to outlet channel and scour aprons, driveway crossings, 520m pathway and safety railings, piling for structural works.

Kiudang/Floodway: Earth channel 3700m with concrete low-flow channel, 50 no. flood retention markers, levees to form retention basin, connector drains 500m, raise local road, embankments, place 3 new triple culverts, services relocation, gabions at channel direction changes, outlet scour apron to Pengkalan Mau channel, 80m safety railing.

Beruang Channel Extension: 185m r.c. drain 7.5m wide, 375m r.c. drain 4m wide, 270m r.c. drain 2m wide, 3 no. double cell culverts, 1 no. single cell, Reno mattress/gabions to channel changes and scour aprons at outlets, 1624m pathway and safety railings, piling works.

Lamunin flood Diversion: 505m r.c. drain 7m wide, 3 no. double cell box culverts, Reno mattress/gabions at inlet and scour apron at outlet, 1010m pathway and safety railings, piling works.

Abang Flood Diversion and Retention: 17 ha clearing, 5060m earth channel 10m base width, 4920 v-notch r.c. low-flow drain to earth channel, 890m r.c. drain 8m base width, 3 no. triple cell culverts, 4610m2 Reno mattress to inlet/outlet aprons, Layong embankment, diversion structure, 350 no. gabions to channel direction change, retention basin outlet structure at tidal check valve, overflow spillway, 4650m embankment levee, 1710m pathway and safety railings, topsoil and hydro seeding to 53,860m2 channel slopes and 63,500 Type D levees, protection mat to levee water side slope, piling works for structures and drains NEELAKANDAN PRABAKARAN
