PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of different people and industries helping companies identify, eliminate and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury, lost productivity and/or property damage. I am safety professional with about 19 years of proven work experience in the pipeline, construction and occupational and environmental health field. I built a solid management and technical safety background while working for leading industries in the US and Abroad including GE, NRG Energy, Exxon Mobil, Major Refineries and other Major Construction General Contractors and Consulting Companies. Over the last 12 years I have been working as a consultant in construction safety management and heavy industrial construction. Work includes conducting audits, management of health and safety programs including employees’ exposures, hazardous waste management, and delivering about 25 training topics. Global Safety Management Consultants Jan 2016 – (2017 Current)

Safety Consultant / Safety Manager - Calaveras Dam, Alameda County, CA

Represented general contractor Dragados and Flatiron General Contractor Construction in a joint venture partnership of the new dam and retrofit of the existing dam.

Responsibilities generally included oversight of the project, EH&S, and all subcontractor work, including management of the Naturally Occurring Asbestos (NOA), wildlife and environmental protection and remediation measures.

General Electrical Oil and Gas Apr 2014 - Jan 2016

CHST / Safety Manager - GE Global Research Oil & Gas Technology Center – Oklahoma City, OK

Represented General Electric in the construction of seven multi-story high rise buildings and a five level parking garage in a 4-acre radius jobsite. This project was a very high profile and Oklahoma City landmark project.

Responsibilities included overall mentoring Flintco General Contractors, Sub-Contractors and of the training of all workers on the project, including 500+ workers and 11 safety coordinators. Training included OSHA 10 and 30, Hazwopper, Fall Protection, and other safety related training and topics.

Responsibilities also included: Development and facilitation of safety related programs, meetings and training; administration and overall leadership of the safety program; leading accident prevention efforts; jobsite inspection and audits; claims management and review; training and assisting with and managing the Jobsite Hazard Analysis (JHA) program.

NRG Energy 2012 – Mar 2014

Safety Manager - Limestone Coal Power Plant - Jewett, TX

Represented Owner in the construction of Major EPC Project of Coal Automatic Carbon Injection Systems, Boiler Power Outages, and Installing Coal Pipe and replacing boiler for Shutdown Turnarounds.

Responsibilities included the overall management, leadership and administration of the company’s safety and health program and the specific General Contractor and subcontractors including up to 285 workers

Mentoring Zachry Industrial Construction and subcontractors of the training of EHS topics and safety orientations of this project.
