Presently working in Maharashtra Vidhyut Nigam Pvt. Ltd. – 1X10 MW Power Plant as Asst. Manager (Mechanical Maintenance), Head of Maintenance Department since 22nd Nov 2012.
Also worked as Boiler Field Operation Engineer of 2x60 MW Thermal Power Plant and in Projects, Erection, commissioning of Mechanical Equipments etc.
More than 18 years of total experience in various fields viz. Maintenance, Projects, Operation, erection & commissioning of Plant machineries & equipments.
Working as Assistant Manager (Mechanical Maintenance), Head of Maintenance Department since 22nd Nov 2012 having 50 TPH AFBC Boiler of M/s Cethar Ltd. make and 10 MW Steam Turbine of M/s Siemens make.
Transferred to 2x60 MW Thermal Power Plant of M/s Gupta Energy Pvt. Ltd., Ghuggus, Dist. Chandrapur (M.S.) since Feb 2012 to 21st Nov 2012 for looking after the Boiler erection and commissioning and worked as Boiler field Operation Engineer of 2x250 TPH CFBC Boiler of M/s Thysenkrupp Industries India Pvt. Ltd. (TKII) make.
Joined M/s MVNL on 12th May 2009 and worked as Project Engineer during Project stage of the presently 1x10 MW Power Plant supervising the erection of Boiler, Turbine, Air cooled condenser and balance of plant and utilities.
As a Mechanical Maintenance in-charge, following activities were carried out:-
a)Planning and monitoring the day to day activities of the work with respect to the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules and completing the Maintenance of the Plant machinery / Equipment well in time.
b)Implementation of Plant maintenance systems with all Work permits, Safety permits, studying and referring History cards of equipments, planned Shutdown maintenance and Facility maintenance, handle breakdown maintenance efficiently taking all permits and safeties required in plant.
c)Troubleshooting the totally integrated Mechanical Equipment with minimum downtime.
d)Reporting the work to be accomplished and its completion status to the Plant site in-charge.
e)Review of P&ID’s, specifications, mechanical data sheets.
f)Managing and supervision of field activities.
g)Co-ordination with the inter departmental in- charges for fast execution of the work.
h)Identifying the equipment maintenance spares well in time, preparing & processing of the indents. Co-ordination with the vendors regarding queries against indents raised and sorting out their issues.
i)Executing cost saving and energy saving techniques/ measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in O&M expenditures and working within the budget.
j)Developing vendors for material procurement, optimizing spares utilization.
k)Preparing reports as and when required like Daily Maintenance Report, Monthly Maintenance Report etc.
Supervised the maintenance of:
1)Complete overhauling of the Gearbox of M/s Elecon make, Model no. KPC-25-U33-V-11-14-Z5 used as reduction gear being used for running Air cooled condenser fans in existing Power plant within scheduled time.
2)Complete maintenance of Impactor type crusher of Coal handling plant of M/s McNally Sayaji make, Primary and secondary vibrating screens, changing of conveyor belts, idlers, bearings, impactor blades etc.
3)Complete maintenance and operation of Biomass shredder machine including changing of bearings and conveyor belts.
4)Maintenance of Ash handling system equipments of M/s Mecgale Pneumatics make viz. ash conveying vessels and pipelines etc.
5)Changing of the bearings of the motor of Boiler feed pumps and aligning and fitting them within stipulated time.
6)Changing of the bearings of the ID fan and motor and aligning and fitting them within stipulated time.
7)Changing of the bearings of the FD fan and motor and aligning and fitting them within stipulated time.
8)Changing of the bearings of the PA fan and motor and aligning and fitting them within stipulated time.
9)Overhauling of Centrifugal pumps of M/s Johnson, Mather & Platt and KSB make.
10)Overhauling of High pressure (HP) and Low pressure (LP) dosing pumps of M/s Swelore make.
11)Changing of Boiler bed coils.
12)Maintenance of Cooling Tower with auxiliaries like pumps, valves and fittings etc.
13)Analyzed the problem of high discharge temperature of the Air compressors and took initiative to permanently sort out the problem.
14)Took initiative to rectify problems permanently related to Centralized package Air conditioning system and all other split AC’s by keeping them in operational condition.
15) Maintenance of air handling units (HVAC).
16)Maintenance of purified water plant both R.O plant, Softener and D.M plant.
17)Maintenance of steam valves, steam traps, modification of steam lines and systems for optimum recovery of steam condensate.
Jun 2008 to May 2009 with Inventys Research Co. Pvt. Ltd. (Multi Group Company), MIDC Butibori, Dist. Nagpur as Jr. Maintenance Engineer. Actively involved in the execution of the project as per the erection drawings within scheduled time, commissioning of the mechanical equipments and maintenance thereon of 4 TPH AFBC type M/s Cheema Ltd. make boiler and its associated auxiliaries, Oil & Coal fired Thermopacs, Soft water and DM water plants, Vapour Absorption Machine (VAM)/ Chiller plant, Pumps, Distillation column, Centrifuge, Vacuum pump, belt conveyor, Glass lined vessels, Gearboxes, Gate valves, Globe valves etc.
Jan 2000 -May 2008 with Indian Coast Guards (Ministry of Defence), Central Government based at Mumbai & Visakhapatnam as Sub-ordinate Officer.

Initiative for SS sleeve fitment in the jackets of cylinder liner after boring thereby avoiding frequent contamination of lub oil caused because of damaged cylinder liner ‘O’ Ring seat and providing maximum availability of the diesel engine for operation.
