• Maintained “Watch-Keeping “of Emergency/distress calls on VHF Radio and handling

• Reporting to the Operation Manager for daily dispatch of tugboats

• Communicate with Tug Master when rendering services to vessels coming IN and OUT of

• Monitor and take the daily ROB of FO & LO from all tugboats and send it to the Operation

Manager.

• Collect and verify the dispatch ticket and submit daily to Billing Department

• Routine tests/check of VHF radio equipments, maintain records of VHF radio log book

• Maintain records of daily tug opeatrions, printed out and submit to the main office.

• Perform other related duties as needed, when assigned by the department head.

• Handling helicopter operation, workboat operations, dredgers and supply vessel operation and or shore base.

• Initiate security message by VHF or Mail to all vessels at the vicinity and vessel agents for any immediate navigation or safety hazards.

Radio Operator – Job Descriptions

a) Routine tests/check of GMDSS Radio and Computer

2. Communications

a) Distribute and file incoming/outgoing messages per Masters instructions.

d) Compute communications costs daily and complete Abstract of Inmarsat at

the end of the month.

3. General Administration & documentation (including Personnel).

a) Take custody of officers & crew certificates, licenses and documentation

b) Prepare and update Crew List and Vaccination List.

c) Assist Master to prepare Company Official mail for dispatch

d) Prepare any other reports and documents as required by the Master.

4. Documentation for agents and authorities:

a) Prepare arrival documentation for ports including stores list, crew effects

list, crew list, passenger list, narcotics list, ammunition list, voyage memo

and other documents as required by certain ports.

b) Prepare Maritime Declaration of Health documents and Radio Pratique

messages as necessary.

5. Crew Payroll & Accounts:

a) Calculate deductions for payrolls including private radio, slop chest etc.

b) Compute overtime for Filipino crew

c) Complete Filipino Crew Payroll and associated documents at end of the

month

d) Prepare Special Remittance messages when requested by the crew

e) Assist Master with various ships’ accounts as required.

6. Slop Chest & Welfare:

a) In charge of the slop chest locker

b) Issue slop chest stores to crew and for entertainment purposes as directed by

the Master. Maintain record of stores issued.

c) Carry out monthly inventory of slop chest locker

d) Assist Master with monthly bonded store account

e) Control of welfare items onboard including entertainment equipment and

ship’s video library.

7. Stationary & Office Equipment:

a) Keep custody of ship’s stationary

b) Check stationary stock and prepare 3-monthly requisitions

c) Routine cleaning & maintenance of photocopier

d) Carry out periodical inventories of office equipment (PCs and printers etc)

e) Record, Maintenance and upkeep of all Software and Company CD’s on

board.

8. Administration of the Catering department.

a) Liaise with Chief Cook on catering matters including daily menu

b) Carry out monthly provision stock inventory together with Chief Cook

c) Complete the “Provision Purchased & Meal List” and “Calculation of Food

Consumption” at end of each month

d) Prepare provision order list for submitting to chandlers.

e) Assist and prepare the Steward department for 3-monthly requisitions.

9. Other:

a) Assist Master with formalities when authorities attend in port

b) Issue crew and collect crew shore pass (when approved by the head of

department).
