PhD Research Work

Structure Aided Drug Design, Synthesis and Evaluation of NS2B-NS3 inhibitors as Anti-Dengue Agents: Based on the literature survey, I have designed a panel of natural-substituted scaffolds, from the docking studies of these designed scaffolds - molecular scaffolds which shown important interaction with catalytic triad, which may contribute to their activity are selected for the synthesis. The synthesized scaffolds are characterized by their spectral characterization using modern analytical techniques such as IR, NMR, Mass and Elemental analysis. The synthesized analogues were further evaluated for their anti-dengue activity. Evaluation of the synthesized molecules involves Cytotoxicity (MTT assay) and cell based anti-dengue activity. Design and Synthesis of small molecules based on Natural constituents of herbal plant materials.

All aspects of small molecule synthesis including designing of synthetic schemes, extractive workup and purification of synthesized compounds as well as structural characterization
