AEP ( American Electric power, Ohio): 2016-2019:

Contract for performing installs of a second phase of grid automation (reclosers, regulators and capbanks) in some cases replacing phase 1 equipment. Performed field engineering and radio measurements to feed propagation tools and coverage data such as Atoll plots and also drive test tools using Sierra Wireless receivers, BVS etc. Solved a problem of “last gasp” transmissions from AMI meters causing capacity issues. Designed “takeout” points using mesh and fixed links to cover areas where utility equipment was in coverage holes for cellular backhaul.

EDX wireless 2016-2016:

Intensive use of EDX Signalpro to develop plots from LOS related models for Fiber replacement of in house internet using hi res clutter data and mmwave links.

K&M Wireless, Requirements manager: 2014-2015

Sprint: Requirements management, defining use cases and coordination for a big data rebuild and consolidation of RF and system performance existing tools into a new reporting suite with more modern big data databases. Use of Teradata SQL assist and tableau. Completed first phase deployment and commenced second phase of the new suite.

Crown Castle, Lead Engineer: Consultant and vendor in Atlanta for DAS deployment. Use of Mapinfo/Cscape for small cell node design to Verizon, Atlanta. Many meetings with Verizon to support designs, city permissions involvement. PIM and cable loss and return loss for multiple site construction, Drive test analysis, Macro to microcell hand off analysis and small cell performance optimization. Use of Atoll for propagation planning, JDSU, and CW and cell measurement equipment, Windcatcher.

TELNET Inc. Project Engineer: 2013-2014

Verizon, Kansas City: Supporting Verizon design role, CDs, FCC regulatory filings for 4G LTE upgrades to add AWS band to existing sites and new sites.

Minneapolis, MN: Cluster Engineer: Support of system migrations to Samsung 3G and 4G for the Minnesota market. Performance monitoring and audits, E911 update and reports, neighbor list creation, cluster analysis, CD’s. Optimization with Spotfire, Mobile Meridian, tilt analysis, neighbor list and parameter update, drive test analysis, XCAP,XCAL, Planet.

ERICSSON, Atlanta, GA 2011 - 2013

CDMA Services Engineer, responsible for Sprint and MetroPCS cellular network

CDMA/LTE Engineer responsible for customer support of Sprint CDMA, EVDO and LTE network. Responsible for site visits related to implementation of hard handoff between Sprint and Alltel networks in Georgia.

Network performance monitoring and no harm data, providing support for LTE upgrade.

KPI analysis of Sprint EVDO and voice, config sheets and EVDO design, Nortel licensing, TRAMs ticketing.

Designed with Pathloss and Google Earth to analyze towerclimb data, supporting the overall design of a 300 link MW backhaul network using Ericsson Minilink MW products for MetroPCS in Atlanta.

CLEARWIRE, Atlanta, GA, Senior Microwave Engineer 2009 - 2011

Nationwide WIMAX operator

Responsible for RF backhaul design and capacity planning. Performed RF design for 50 new WIMAX sites using Motorola and Dragonwave equipment to support new market deployment.

Designed backhaul for indoor DAS systems.

Conducted licensing of Microwave links with the FCC for spectrum licensing of backhaul.

Performed cell sites capacity dimensioning for backhaul and added capacity to reduce congestion on high traffic sites
