HR Officer, VP HR

Led HR team for a $1.5 billion, 10,000 person global Information Technology organization. Responsible for strategic talent management, building organizational and employee capabilities, facilitating change, and improving employee engagement. Reporting directly to the Global CIO of Cigna, a $40 billion global Health Services Company. Initiatives undertaken include:

•Globalization of IT operating model including rolling out Agile, driving efficiencies by over 20%.

•First strategic workforce plan at Cigna resulting in $80 million in labor savings over 3 years.

•Designed a senior leaders development program (ITLP) with a global “skill based” volunteering component. Written up as a best in class program by The Boston Globe, Catalyst and Northeastern University. Leader retention is 100%.

•Grew the size of the early career program (from 70 to 300), introduced global rotations, areas of focus, and expanded on-campus internships. Retention exceeds 90% after 5 years.

•Designed and drove the holistic “Employee Experience”, achieving the best retention and highest engagement scores across all of CI for 3 years running, saving over $5 million in recruiting costs.

Medco Health Solutions, Port St. Lucie, FL 2010-2012

Chief HR Officer & HR VP

Led HR team of 40 for Liberty Medical Supplies Inc., a wholly owned diabetes division of Medco Health Solutions, a $68 billion Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM). Responsible for all aspects of our Human Capital strategy, including talent acquisition, talent development, succession planning, and total rewards.

In addition, led work on the new corporate strategy and redesigning the service delivery model.

•Drove the design of a new service delivery approach, a new structure and operating model for capturing the total lifetime value of the consumer. Reduced labor cost by $25 million over three years while improving NPS. Received the Medco President’s award for this work.

•In 2011, given added responsibility to support Medco’s Chief Medical Officer, and the clinical products solutions group, connecting products and initiatives that provided total solutions to our corporate clients. Express Scripts bought Medco in 2012.

Global HR Solutions LLC, Las Vegas NV and Avon, CT 2008-2018

Founded Global HR Solutions, a global business consulting firm. Sample of work completed:

•Developed & executed Owens Corning and Amway’s outsourcing model for IT, saving both companies in excess of 20% of their respective labor costs.

Led HR for the fourth largest national homebuilder through the 2007/08 economic crisis as they lost $1M per day. Restructured the company three times and managed costs very aggressively, allowing KB to survive the real estate meltdown. Retained all high potential executives to lead the company’s turnaround.

The Gap Inc., San Francisco, CA 2004-2006

Vice President, HR – Global Supply Chain

Led global HR team of 150 for a $16 billion retailer with brands like Banana Republic, Gap, and Old Navy. Combine three supply chains with a projected $1 Billion in savings. Managed HR in US, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Turkey, and UK.

Vice President, HR – WW Operations & Corporate

Senior HRBP for a $6 billion toy company with brands like Barbie, Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Fisher Price, and American Girl. Led global HR team of 50 in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Responsible for the strategic talent management for 30,000 Mattel employees. Built and executed a human capital plan to rebalance 10 global manufacturing facilities, projecting a savings of $185 million in 5 years. Actual savings exceeded $385 million in 3 years.
