Duties & Responsibilities

Carryout the Aircraft service Bulletins SB’s, & AD’s as per manufacturer’s instruction.

Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance. check for corrosion, distortion and invisible cracks in the fuselage, wings and tail using x-ray and magnetic inspection methods and equipments.

Maintain, repair and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components and parts such as wings and fuselage, rigging hydraulic units, oxygen systems, fuel systems.

Measure parts of wear using precision instruments and measure tension of control cables.

Assist in installing and removal of components from aircrafts as well as aircrafts sub assembly.

Installation of landing lights in Bell-429 as per approved SB’s and AMM manuals.

Maintenance Technician:

Performed standard preparation and prime coat painting of aircraft and assisted in final coat painting, decaling and marking of all types of aircraft.

Skilled in sanding, feathering, edging using orbital sander, applying sealant, washing and treating surfaces using a variety of chemicals.

Responsible for mixing, thinning, blending, matching, tinting and toning coating material.

Applied coating materials such as primers, paints, Teflon, anti-static and corrosion preventive coatings utilizing standard application techniques with conventional, air assisted, airless and electrostatic equipment.

Ensured coating finishes, protective requirements and surfaces were free from skips runs or drips which minimized the need for rework.

Prepares for painting by masking, stripping, washing aircraft sections and components.

Blends and mixes paints, inks, and coatings to proper spraying consistency.

Must be able to perform detail touch ups.

Coordinates processes for painting production parts.

Prepare composite and sheet metal parts and assemblies for paint as well as fill and fair.

Paint aircraft parts and assemblies with different water based and solvent based paints in accordance with released data.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, engineering orders, and work instructions.

Read, understand and follow Delta, Boeing and Airbus process and material specifications.
