PROFILE

B.Sc in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering with 9.5 years of experience in the power generation operations as power plant control room and field operator (engineer), with proven ability to operate, monitor, control, perform safe startup and shutdown of gaz turbines specially Siemens SGT5-4000F and Balance of Plant equipments, and a proven ability to start up air compressors, pumps, diesel power generators used as secure power supply, fire-fighting system, LV and HV switchgears. My work in the field and my positive foundation allowed me to:

Acquire and develop a good communication, planning, supervision, and trouble shooting skills, incidents diagnosis, and problem-solving skills, in addition to the ability to work under presser. My objective is ensuring the best quality of service delivered.

Gain experience working with distributed control system (DCS) SPPA-T3000, PLC’s: Siemens S7-400H, S7-300 programming and maintenance software: SIMATIC Manager S7 and Wincc Flexible.

Acquire and understand all the electrical and mechanical safety regulations and their application.

WORK EXPERIENCE

From October 1st, 2009 began working in a Simple Cycle Siemens Gas Turbine Power Plant (2 SGT5-4000F (V94.A)) of Group SONELGAZ as Power Plant Shift Operator in Berrouaghia - Algeria (Current Position).

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

Identifies operational problems by observing and studying system functioning and performance results; investigating complaints and suggestions; and completing troubleshooting procedures.

Anticipates operational problems by studying operating targets, modes of operation, unit limitations, and monitoring unit performance.

Provides operational management information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating and engineering data and trends.

Monitor the status of all plant systems on a continuous basis, by responding to alarms and taking appropriate actions.

Executes plant shutdown, plant start-up, and tests procedures as required and according to the defined schedule.

Performs visual inspection strictly as per procedure and according to the defined schedule.

Efficiently make diagnostics and participate in Root Cause analysis.

Attend the briefing every morning and participates in solving maintenance problems (electrical, electronic issues).

Assures that the plant meets its generating requirements while operating in a safe and efficient manner.

Responding to emergency situations by taking real time actions.

Use computerized Plant Management System BFS++ for Shift Log, Fault Notification, Work Order and Work Plan Module, Parts Requisition.

Perform the isolation of systems and equipments to be in maintenance mode, and assure the application of isolations conditions and deliver the work orders.

Maximize Plant availability, in compliance with work plan and plant safety regulations, and compliance with engineering procedures.

Quality & HSE:

Work in accordance with all safety regulations & requirements. Understand and address all quality assurance and regulatory issues through basic understanding of plant operations, escalating issues where appropriate and necessary.

Promotes a culture of safety awareness within the Operations community.

Ensures that all plant Zones are safe, clean and properly ordered at all times.

Conducts unsafe and hazardous situation audits / identification.

People & Training:

Participates in seminars related to his expertise, for refreshing and actually sharing his knowledge with the operations team, ensures his/her post training is accurately recorded.

Keeps current with new equipment and technology and updated operations methods and procedures.

Acquire and develop skills and technical knowledge in relation to competence profile.
