I’m writing to express my interest in your open physician assistant position. I am a certified and licensed PA who recently graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. I assisted in several orthopedic cases during my general surgery rotation at LBJ Hospital in Houston. Additionally, I had to opportunity to work with an orthopedic PA during my rotation at the Katy VA. My procedural experiences include steroid injections, I&D’s, surgical site closures, and closure of wounds via sutures, staples, and dermabond.

I have been fascinated by orthopedic surgery ever since I had a snowboarding injury in high school that required expedited surgery for my clavicle. Prior to PA school, I was able to shadow a few orthopedic surgeons and PAs to understand more about what it means to be in orthopedics. I also worked in multiple emergency rooms around the Dallas Metroplex as an ER scribe. Given my work history, I have extensive experience working on teams and excellent communication skills. I also have the ability of working in busy environments where the capability to multitask is a must.

I believe that my high motivation to learn new treatments and procedures, my personable nature, and strong desire to provide exceptional patient care would make me a valuable addition to your team. Please see my attached resume. I hope to further discuss my qualifications and aspirations in person. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at or 214-***-****. Thank you for your consideration.
