To Whom it May Concern:

I happily write this letter on behalf of Jennifer Perea. I was Jen’s supervisor for just over four years. Jen served, during most of her tenure, as the Teacher of a PreK classroom. She was responsible for classroom planning, parent communication, curriculum development and assessments of the children in her classroom. The classroom had twenty children.

Jen showed a very strong skill set in the classroom. Jen had a very good understanding of the curriculum and how to create a classroom that was a high yield room. Her students were very successful and were incredibly prepared for Kindergarten. She was also a very prepared teacher. Her lesson plans were well thought out and were created to challenge the children on a daily basis. Her families responded very well to the work their children were accomplishing as well.

Jen also takes her role as an early childhood educator very seriously. She is always looking for new ways to improve. While she worked at Hilltop, she was able to go back to school and attain her Bachelor’s degree. She loves learning. She never missed an opportunity for additional training. Whether that be an online course or her attendance the NAEYC conference. When not attending trainings, Jen really enjoyed presenting to colleagues. She provided good teach back sessions to her colleagues here at Hilltop, and was also a presenter at the local KSAEYC conference.

I now that Jen will continue to grow in this profession. She is a very hard worker that will do everything necessary to create a high functioning classroom and building. I feel that Jen can be a valuable asset to any school or academic setting.
